Altadena Films has added ForgeFilms’ rite-of-passage drama Saving Amy to its international sales slate.
The $2m British feature, currently at packaging stage and seeking finance, is a UK-set character-driven urban drama about a fifteen-year-old girl who is raped by her mother’s boyfriend and flees into a sinister world of streetwise opportunists and predators.
Written by Ian and Rosi Taylor, the film will be produced by ForgeFilms and Michael Riley (Boston Kickout) and directed by Dominic Lees (Outlanders). K Amalou (Hard Men) and Richard J Wood (Exhibit A) are on board as executive producers.
Saving Amy is expected to be shot on location in Yorkshire during spring/summer 2011.
