UK sales and distribution firm Altitude has boarded international sales on Laura Poitras’ upcoming documentary All The Beauty And The Bloodshed.
Altitude Film Sales will represent international sales on the title and Altitude Film Distribution will release in the UK and Ireland.
The film will have its world premiere in Competition at next month’s Venice Film Festival, before going on to play at Toronto, and as the Centrepiece at New York Film Festival.
Neon recently acquired North American rights on the title.
All The Beauty And The Bloodshed tells the story of artist and activist Nan Goldin, using her slideshows, interviews, photography and footage of her fight to hold the Sackler family responsible for a prescription drugs crisis, through her advocacy group P.A.I.N. (Prescription Addiction Intervention Now).
The film is produced by US firm Participant, with producers Howard Gertler, John Lyons, Yoni Golijov, Poitras and Goldin. Executive producers are Participant’s Jeff Skoll and Dianne Weyermann; Clare Carter; Alex Kwartler; and Hayley Theisen.
The theatrical release of the film will coincide with a retrospective of Goldin’s work, opening at Stockholm’s Modern Museet in October before an international tour taking in Amsterdam, Berlin and Milan.
