Studio opens its development process to short films and concept videos.
Amazon Studios has announced that it is widening its ‘open door for creators’ to include short films and concept videos for development options.
As of today [June 27], concept videos and short films presenting a compelling idea for a commercial, theatrical feature film can be submitted and evaluated for a development option by Amazon Studios.
Filmmakers worldwide are being encouraged to submit 2-15 minute videos to the studio’s website, with the process working exactly the same as a script submission. Creators can submit publicly or privately and creators of projects added to the development slate will receive a $10,000 payment.
Films currently on the Amazon Studios development slate include horror ZvG: Zombies Vs Gladiators, thriller Burma Rising, sci-fi Hiber and family comedy It Came in the Mail.
