With the 61st BFI London Film Festival kicking off on Wednesday (October 4), this year’s jury line-up for the festival awards has been revealed.
American Honey’s Andrea Arnold is the Jury President of the Official Competition that will award Best Film at this year’s festival, with Babak Anvari, Eric Bana, Ashley Clark, Lily Cole, Alexei Popogrebsky and Emma Thomas also on the jury.
Producer and composer Melissa Parmenter will lead the First Feature Competition jury which also includes Kaleem Aftab, Jason Isaacs, Isaac Julien and Helen McCrory.
Searching For Sugar Man producer John Battsek will oversee the Documentary Competition award, with Paul Dosaj, Liesel Evans, James Hall, Edward Lovelace and Norma Percy on the jury.
The Red Turtle director Michael Dudok De Wit is the Jury President of the Short Film Competition with a jury including Simran Hans, Afolabi Kuti, William Oldroyd and Chloe Pirrie.
James Nesbitt will host this year’s awards ceremony on Saturday, October 14 at The Banqueting House where, as previously announced, Paul Greengrass will receive this year’s BFI Fellowship.
The BFI London Film Festival runs October 4-15.
