UK director Alice Lowe’s Timestalker has added Screen Stars of Tomorrow Aneurin Barnard (2009) and Tanya Reynolds (2020) to the cast, alongside Nick Frost, as its shoot gets underway in Wales.
Further newly announced cast include Kate Dickie, Dan Skinner and Mike Wozniak, who all starred in Lowe’s directorial debut, Venice 2016 premiere Prevenge.
They join the previously announced cast Lowe and Jacob Anderson. Sam Riley and Natasia Demetriou are no longer attached to the project.
HanWay has worldwide sales rights, and will be sharing materials at the upcoming American Film Market (AFM, November 1-6).
Lowe is reteaming on the project with Prevenge UK producer Vaughan Sivell and London-based Western Edge Pictures.
It is a co-production with London-based Popcorn Group, and funded by the BFI (awarding National Lottery funding), Head Gear Films, Popcorn Group and Ffilm Cymru Wales with funding from the National Lottery and Welsh government via Creative Wales.
The romantic comedy follows a hapless woman, played by Lowe, through time as she repeatedly falls for the wrong guy, dies a horrible death and gets reincarnated, only to start the cycle again. The film travels through 1680s Scotland, 1790s rural England, 1980s Manhattan and an apocalyptic 22nd Century.
Lowe’s acting credits include Zurich premiere The Almond And The Seahorse and upcoming Take That musical feature Greatest Days.
