Moscow-based animation studio Licensing Brands has launched its international sales division at AFM, with Juraj Barabas on board as president of international distribution.
Barabas is at the AFM and will showing footage from The Big Trip 3D written by Madagascar co-screenwriter Billy Frolick.
Delivery is anticipated in the first quarter of 2019 on the story of a baby panda that gets mistakenly delivered to the wrong address by a goofy stork postman.
The Licensing Brands slate includes animated action-adventure Two Tails, about a beaver and a cat who undertake a dangerous mission to free their fellow animals after they are kidnapped by aliens.
Princess In Wonderland tells of Princess Barbara, who discovers a magic book on her seventh birthday that transports her to an enchanted place filled with fantastic creatures.
Rounding out the roster is Enchanted Princess, a family comedy about a prince who embarks on a mission to find a missing princess.
“I am very pleased to be working with such an experienced team which recognises the appetite in the marketplace for the commercial animated films,” Barabas said. “Our studio works incredibly hard and fast to deliver steady stream of high profile animations and to become valuable partner for the international distributors around the world.”
“We are looking forward to this interesting challenge bringing our animated films to a very competitive international arena,” added Licensing Brands co-founder and producer Maxim Rogalsky. “We hope that our universal stories, animation style and techniques are well received all over the world.”
Licensing Brands was established in 2014 in Moscow by Roman Borisevich, Vasily Rovensky and Rogalsky.
