System aims to make digital cinema key delivery simpler and easier.
Leading digital cinema company Arts Alliance Media (AAM) has unveiled Locksmith, the latest addition to their digital cinema software suite.
Locksmith aims to make digital cinema key (KDM) delivery simpler and easier by removing the need for distributors to email individual keys to cinemas and allowing distributors to upload all KDMs to the web-based Locksmith. It will then examine each KDM, calculate which screen it relates to and deliver it directly to the screen server automatically, ready for use.
Exhibitors and distributors will also be able to see which KDMs have been successfully delivered and ingested and which haven’t.
Eric Stevens [pictured], commercial director of AAM, commented: “Distributors and exhibitors have been telling us for a long time that the manual system of emailing KDMs to cinemas and then projectionists having to ingest them into the correct servers is time consuming and unreliable. We are happy to say that with the advent of Locksmith the KDM process is easier for everyone.”
AAM are at ShowEast in Miami from Nov 5-8 where they be demonstrating Locksmith.
