UK sales firm secures worldwide rights to Satanic horror ahead of Cannes.
AV Pictures has secured worldwide sales rights to horror Let Us Prey.
The tale of Satan arriving in a backwater town to collect the souls of the damned is currently in pre-production.
Shooting is planned to begin in Scotland and Ireland in June, with director Brian O’Malley.
Liam Cunningham, star of Game of Thrones and Hunger, plays an enigmatic stranger who is details in the cells of a remote police station. He begins to take over the minds of the inmates and police, influencing them to do his evil bidding. Only one young cop, played by Hanna Stanbridge, is able to resist him and fight back.
The film is being produced by Eddie Dick for Makar Productions and Brendan McCarthy and John McDonnell for Fantastic Films. McCarthy and McDonnell were co-producers on Cannes Directors’ Fortnight title Last Days on Mars.
Lee Brazier will oversee the production for AV Pictures.
AV will launch the project to buyers in Cannes next week along with sci-fi thriller Scintilla.
