Company is the first production company to be certified in the NP 4457:2007 standards.
Dublin-based beActive has become the first production company certified in the NP 4457:2007 standards with the scope of Research, Development and Innovation Management System’s for creating transmedia entertainment content for online and offline platforms.
The certification confirms that beActive meets the requirements of an efficient Research, Development and Innovation Management System, following a policy and a set of strategies and best practices to create transmedia entertainment.
Speaking from the company’s Dublin office, managing director Nuno Bernardo [pictured] commented: “This certification is a confidence-building mechanism, strengthening our motivation to continuously improve and create the right conditions for new, creative transmedia projects, consequently also raising the quality of our services and products. Being the first production house in the world to take this leap is exciting and it has put the work our team have been doing in relation to R&D, games development and IP development in the spotlight.”
beActive has been involved in transmedia since 2003 with projects including Sofia’s Diary, Flatmates and the Emmy-nominated thriller series Final Punishment. The company has offices in London, Dublin, Lisbon and São Paulo.
