Outstanding Contribution to Craft award recognises excellence in one of the craft areas of film and television.
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Scotland has announced that visual effects supervisor Steven Begg will receive the Outstanding Contribution to Craft award.
Recognising excellence in one of the craft areas of film and television, the award is in memory of renowned make-up designer Robert McCann.
Alan de Pellette, acting director, BAFTA Scotland, commented: “Steven is a ‘legend’ among colleagues from the ‘old school era’ of effects production and he is hugely valued by filmmakers across the globe. BAFTA Scotland is proud to be able to honour Steven for the incredible career he has had to date.”
Begg will receive the award at the British Academy Scotland Awards 2013, which take place this Sunday [Nov 17] at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow. Edith Bowman will once again host, and this year sees For Those In peril lead with four nominations.
