The BFI is seeking a partner to help deliver its research and statistics fund.
Supported by £4m of Lottery funding until 2017, the unit will analyse the impact of digital technologies throughout the film value chain, examine and test new business models and develop the activities of the BFI’s Research and Statistics Unit (RSU).
The BFI will set up a research and statistics advisory committee to oversee the new fund.
Tim Cagney, deputy CEO of the BFI, said: “We’re looking for innovation, partnership and expertise. Our substantial investment in this vital area, alongside additional funding from the successful partner organisation, will increase the level of robust information and data available and provide a crucial evidence base for film policy-makers and industry.”
