Billy Magnussen (No Time to Die, The Survivor) will make his feature directorial debut on The Ridge for Mandalay Pictures in association with BRON Studios, which CAA Media Finance and BRON co-represent for worldwide rights at AFM.
Magnussen will star alongside Chace Crawford (The Boys), Lamorne Morris (Fargo), and Jordan Firstman (Ms. Marvel) in the story of three city dwellers who take a hunting trip in the Wyoming wilderness to celebrate a bachelor party.
However when a terrible accident forces them to come together to survive the men must come to terms with how they need to change their lives for the better.
The start of principal photography has been earmarked for March 2023.
Jason Michael Berman and Jordan Moldo from Mandalay Pictures serve as producers along with Magnussen on behalf of Happy Bad Bungalow. Magnussen developed the story with John Clavier and Mike Anderson, and Will Lowell, Clavier and Anderson co-wrote the screenplay.
“It has been a great pleasure working alongside Billy and BRON to bring Billy’s vision to life,” said Mandalay Pictures’ Jason Michael Berman and Jordan Moldo. “We could not be more excited about supporting Billy’s great talents both in front of and behind the camera to bring audiences a genre-smashing thriller with a phenomenal cast from an exciting new filmmaker.”
Magnussen is represented by United Talent Agency, Anonymous Content, and Sloane, Offer, Weber, and Dern. Crawford and Morris are represented by CAA, and Firstman by WME Entertainment.
