Sales outfit Blue Fox Entertainment has hired Lisa Gutberlet as executive vice-president and head of international sales and acquisitions.
The hire comes on the eve of the Toronto International Film Festival, where Gutberlet and Blue Fox will be looking at to find additions to the company’s growing domestic US and international distribution slate.
Gutberlet has more than 12 years of experience in acquiring and selling features, and most recently worked for Myriad Pictures as senior vice-president of worldwide sales and distribution. There she oversaw international sales of projects like Margin Call, The Disappearance Of Eleanor Rigby, and The Last Word.
Gutberlet previously worked for The Weinstein Company, Turner Broadcasting International, and The World Bank.
“We are thrilled to have Lisa join the Blue Fox team as she comes with tremendous amounts of expertise,” Blue Fox founders James Huntsman, Todd Slater, and Andreas Olavarria said. “She is highly regarded among buyers and producers, and has a great eye for material and marketplace demands.”
