Indo-German sales company Bombay Berlin Film has picked up Blue Throat Entertainment’s maiden project, the love triangle film Ishq Actually, for the EFM.
CEO Katharina Suckale told Screen Daily that the film’s director Anish Khanna and producer Satyan Sharma (aka Sunny Sharma) have been working in Bollywood for the past 15 years and are now making their first independent feature with this film.
Suckale added that the Mumbai/Berlin-based sales outfit will have another two titles lined up for Cannes’ Marché: Veena Bakshi’s Hindi language feature The Coffinmaker with Monsoon Wedding’s Naseeruddin Shah in the lead, and Vaibhav Abnave’s Mahrati-language drama Maunraag, co-produced by Bombay Berlin’s production arm, Bombay Berlin Film Production (BBFP).

Shooting is planned at locations in France in July, to be followed by India in September.
