Sophie Turner Laing, managing director of entertainment, news and broadcast at BSkyB, is to deliver a keynote speech at MipTV 2013.


The exec, who oversees channels such as Sky 1, Sky Atlantic and Sky Movies, will give the Media Mastermind Keynote at the market in Cannes, which runs from April 8-11.

Laurine Garaude, director of Reed Midem’s TV division, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Sophie Turner Laing, a major industry-leading personality, as the first keynote speaker at the 50th anniversary of MIPTV, especially since she celebrates her 30th MipTV attendance this year.”
