Los Angeles-based sales outfit Inception Film Partners is being sold to Toronto’s Cameron Thomson Entertainment as part of a deal with parent company Inception Media Group (IMG).
A letter of intent signed by IMG will vest controlling interest in the parent company to the Canadian company, a division of Cameron Thomson Group.
Pending due diligence the acquisition is expected to close within 45 days.
Cameron Thomson Entertainment is a television entertainment company specialising in developing, financing, producing and distributing international lifestyle, drama, documentary and animation programming.
Inception Film Partners was established in 2013. IMG was founded in 2009 and owns a catalogue of more than 150 film properties and 2,500 hours of digital content.
