The 2023 Cannes Film Festival will close with the world premiere of Pixar animated feature Elemental.
The film, playing out of competition, will screen under the banner ‘Last Screening’ on May 27 at the Palais des Festivals.
Elemental is directed by Peter Sohn and is set in a world inhabited by the elements fire, water, earth and air. The English-language voice cast includes Leah Lewis and Mamoudou Athie, with Adèle Exarchopoulos and Vincent Lacoste leading the French version.
It is the fourth Pixar feature to be presented in Cannes’ Official Selection, after Up, Inside Out and Soul.
Elemental will be released in the US on June 16 and June 21 in France.
The 2023 Cannes Film Festival runs May 16-27.
