Documentary centres on the Copenhagen-based restaurant that serves everything from ants to fermented cricket and live shrimp.
TrustNordisk has picked up the international sales rights for the upcoming feature documentary Noma - My Perfect Storm from UK production company Documentree Films and will present a promo for the film at the Cannes Marche, which kicks off next week.
The film follows new Nordic gastronomy frontrunner Rene Redzepi, fighting his way back to the top, reclaiming the title of best restaurant in the world for the fourth time. Holder of two Michelin stars, Copenhagen-based Noma serves everything from ants to fermented cricket and live shrimp. Director Pierre Deschamps has followed Redzepi over a period of three years.
Noma - My Perfect Storm is produced by Etta Thompson Deschamps for Documentree Films in collaboration with Blenkov & Schønnemann Pictures, Good Rolling Films, Copenhagen Film Fund, Øresund Film Commission and Red Rental ApS.
