Company has been one of the festival’s technical partners since 2006.
Christie, the world leader in digital projection solutions for the film industry, have renewed their partnership with the Cannes Film Festival for a further three years.
The partnership sees Christie provide all the digital projection equipment for the festival as one of the festival’s technical partners, which it has been since 2006. As technical partner, the company provides 2K and 4K DLP Cinema for screening the works to be shown at the festival in around 20 digital auditoriums.
Pascal Gervais, Manager of Christie France, said: “This renewed three-year Technical Partnership with the Cannes Festival confirms Christie’s high reputation in the film industry and – because of the demanding qualification process deployed by the CST – proves our commitment to offering nothing but the best in terms of image for one of film’s most prestigious events.”
“The Cannes CST, the body responsible for projection’s technical aspects at the Cannes Festival, is delighted to be working with Christie. The partnership between Christie and the Festival helps us guarantee an outstanding quality of projection,” added Pierre William Glenn, chairman of the CST (Supervisory Technical Committee for Sound and Image).
