Fox International svp of sales and strategic planning Craig Dehmel will receive CinemaCon’s Passepartout Award at the International Day Luncheon in Las Vegas on March 24.
The award is presented annually to an industry executive “who demonstrates dedication and commitment to the international marketplace.”
Dehmel has been at the studio for 14 years and oversees the planning and execution of all titles distributed by Fox in more than 60 international territories.
Among the numerous films he has worked on are Avatar and the two biggest international animation releases, Ice Age 4 and Ice Age 3. In 2013 Fox International box office crossed $2bn for the fifth year in a row.
“Respected and admired by his peers throughout the international market, Craig is simply the ideal recipient of this year’s Passepartout Award,” said CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser.
CinemaCon runs from March 24–27, 2014 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
