Cinepolis CEO Alejandro Ramirez Magana will receive CinemaCon 2018’s NATO Marquee Award at the show in Las Vegas, set to run from April 23-26.
Ramirez also serves as chairman of the Global Cinema Federation, the Mexican Business Council and the Morelia International Film Festival, as well as on the boards of BBVA Bancomer, the Mexican Competitiveness Institute, the Sundance Institute, and the Harvard Board of Overseers.
“As our industry becomes increasingly global, it is appropriate that our most significant award goes to a truly global exhibitor,” John Fithian, president and CEO of the National Association Of Theatre Owners (NATO), said.
“With operations across four different continents, Cinepolis brings movie-going magic to millions of guests. On a personal level, with his commitment as chairman of the Global Cinema Federation, Alejandro has become the leader of a united global industry. On behalf of theatre owners everywhere, congratulations on this well-deserved honour.”
