Content racks up sales of Pudsey the Dog: The Movie and Redirected

Content Film has secured a raft of sales of family feature Pudsey the Dog: The Movie and action comedy Redirected.

Pudsey the Dog: The Movie, which Vertigo Films will release on 425 prints in the UK on July 18, has been sold to Germany (Square One), Latin America (Swen) , China (UA), CIS & Baltics (Cascade Film), Croatia, Serbia and Slovenia (Blitz), Greece, Turkey, India & Poland (Tanweer), Hong Kong (Golden Scene), Indonesia (Queen International), the Middle East (Selim Ramia), the Philippines (Silverline), Portugal (Lusomundo), Singapore (Cathay), South Africa (Videovision), South Korea (9ers Entertainment), Taiwan (Pomi), the Caribbean (Caribbean Film Services), South East Asia (Star), and Jaguar for airlines and ships. 

The film, directed by Nick Moore (Wild Child, Horrid Henry: The Movie) and written by Paul Rose, is a tale of friendship and courage centering on a city dog moved to the countryside with his new loving family.  Pudsey and his trainer Ashleigh are best known for winning Britain’s Got Talent in 2012.  Produced by Vertigo Films’ Rupert Preston, Allan Niblo and James Richardson, the film is coproduced by Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment. 

Content has also locked international sales for Emilis Velyvis’ Redirected, including the UK (Koch Media), France (Marco Polo), Germany (Film Confect), Italy (Minerva), Spain (Alimpro), Japan (Parco), the Benelux (Premiere), Bulgaria (Pro Films), ex-Yugoslavia (Cinemania), Portugal (Lusomundo) and Turkey (Sinema).

The film, starring Vinnie Jones, centres on four friends stranded in Eastern Europe through a series of misadventures and have to find their way back home. To do so, they have to overcome hit men, corrupt cops and more.

With a script co-written by Velyvis and Jonas Banys, the film is produced by Asta Liukaityte, Daiva Jovaisiene, Donatas Simukauskas and Norbertas Pranckus. Jacqueline Quella and David Boaretto serve as executive producers.

Both films will be shown at The London Screenings (formerly known as LUFF) next week, with Pudsey on June 24 and Redirected on June 25. The four-day export event showcases British films and talent to the international market, attracting buyers worldwide to meet UK sales companies and negotiate distribution deals.
