Creative England is pushing for more private investment in the creative industries.
On Sunday, Creative England and the UK Business Angels Association, which works with more than 15,000 angel investors, held an event to bring together the film industry and investors.
Creative England is pushing for more private investment in the creative industries and in July will launch a national programme to build a community of angel investors to invest in film companies and creative SMEs.
Nicola Horlick, CEO of Money+Co and Chairman of Rockpool Investments, said: “Our investors recognise that film is an excellent diversifier in a portfolio and we are reporting very attractive returns from our early investments. I believe that this is an area of increasing interest both to institutional and high net worth investors.”
Caroline Norbury, CEO of Creative England, added: “There are huge opportunities for investment, not just in individual film projects but in small creative filmbusinesses throughout the value chain.
