Bond 25 is currently pencilled in for an October 25, 2019 release date in the UK, with production due to start in December. It is not clear how the news will impact this schedule.
Boyle had been working on the script with Trainspotting writer John Hodge. It has not been announced if Hodge has also left the project.
It was announced that Universal had won the contract to handle international distribution on Bond 25 back in May after Sony Pictures’ four-film deal expired in 2015. MGM is releasing in the US.
