The training scheme, held by Sheffield Doc/Fest and Crossover Labs, aims to help filmmakers expand their understanding of digital media.
Sheffield Doc/Fest and Crossover Labs have announced that their seven-month training scheme Devise to Deliver (D2D) will return for a second consecutive year.
Supported by Creative Skillset, D2D is a six-stage course aimed at helping innovative filmmakers and mediamakers expand their understanding of the possiblities of digital media, such as embracing new ways to fund, market and distribute films through digital technology.
Regional introductory sessions start in December this year, followed by a masterclass day in Feb 2013 and a market-preparation day in March 2013 which will provide support in presenting projects to funders. This culminates in the Crossover Market held at Sheffield Doc/Fest in June 2013 where D2D participants will get the opportunity to pitch their projects to digital market experts.
D2D is open to anyone working on any platform for any genre with attendance at Stage 1 (regional) costing £50+VAT. Attendance for Stages 2 through to Stage 6 (Crossover Market) costs £400+VAT, which includes a full delegate pass to Sheffield Doc/Fest 2013, and is based on a selection process.
