Disney has pushed back some of its anticipated tentpoles including Avengers: Secret Wars, Fantastic Four, and Untitled Deadpool Movie.
Avengers: Secret Wars, which has yet to secure a director, moves from November 7 2025 to May 1 2026 – a slot previously occupied by Untitled Marvel which has been removed from the schedule.
Fantastic Four, which Matt Shakman will direct, is pushed from November 8 2024 to February 14 2025, in turn relocating another Untitled Marvel from the February 2025 slot to November 7, 2025.
Shawn Levy’s Untitled Deadpool Movie starring Ryan Reynolds gets pushed from September 6 2024 to November 8 of the same year, while Mahershala Ali vampire film Blade (in search of a director following the exit of Bassim Tariq) will now occupy the September 6 2024 slot after it was previously set for November 3 2023.
Wes Ball’s Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes from 20th Century Studios is the updated title of Untitled 20th Century and remains dated for May 24 2024.
20th Century Studios’ third Hercule Poirot film A Haunting In Venice featuring an all-star cast directed and led once again by Kenneth Branagh is the updated title of previous Untitled 20th Century dated on September 15, 2023.
Searchlight Pictures’ Chevalier – Stephen Williams’s true story about the rise in 18th century French society of composer Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges – is now dated April 7 2023.
- In a separate announcement, Warner Bros has moved up Dune: Part Two from November 17, 2023, to November 3, 2023, in Imax.
