The reorganisation of the Canadian broadcast and digital division comes as svp of television and online at eOne Films Canada Naveen Prasad exits the company.
Audrey Gardiner is promoted to vp of television and digital distribution, eOne Films Canada, while Dan Loewy is promoted to vp of television and digital distribution, eOne Films Canada.
Gardiner and Loewy both joined eOne following the company’s acquisition of Alliance Films in January and together will oversee the Canadian film division’s broadcast and digital activities.
Gardiner will handle all licensing activities to both linear and digital accounts, while Loewy will oversee transactional business, both for linear cable and digital accounts for eOne Films Canada.
Both are based in Toronto and report to eOne Films Canada co-president Bryan Gliserman.
Prasad had overseen all aspects of the Canadian Film group’s television and digital activities and had served in the same role at Alliance Films prior to its acquisition by eOne in January. He joined Alliance in 2000 and held key roles in both theatrical and television distribution.
“Naveen has contributed significantly to our organisation’s remarkable evolution and meaningful achievements in the broadcast and digital space,” said Gliserman. “We thank him for his dedication and wish him the very best in all his future endeavours.”
“It’s been an honour to have led a phenomenal team during what has been a transformational period in film and TV distribution in Canada,” said Prasad. “Having worked closely with both Audrey and Dan for many years, I can think of no better duo to ensure the continued success for eOne. I myself look forward to opening a new chapter in my life.”
“As we head into another exciting TIFF, we’re pleased to share the news of these two well-deserved promotions with our partners,” said Gliserman. “The broadcast and digital markets are an integral and equally important part of our business today, and we are thrilled to have such a strong pair leading the charge.
“Through innovative thinking, Dan continues to successfully broaden eOne‘s transactional business in Canada. Similarly, Audrey’s commitment to her clients has expanded eOne’s relationships with new and existing customers.”
