New report on the Russian film industry to be presented in Moscow.

A new report on the film industry in the Russian Federation is being presented in Moscow today [Dec 2].

Working with Nevafilm Research, Universe Consulting and iKS-Consulting, the European Audiovisual Observatory (EAO) will present the report as part of a workshop co-organised by EAO and Neva-film which is taking place during the 95th edition of the Moscow International Film Market.

The report contains information about the Russian film industry as a whole and its individual branches, as well as discussing the results of international collaboration.

It also covers the changes in state support for the film industry, the increase in regional film production and the transition to digital technologies where, as of mid-2014, 75% of cinemas had a digital projector for every screen.

It is the fourth report of its kind that the EAO has produced.
