Swedish production company SF Studios has announced Elsa Berg Bjärtun as its new executive vice president distribution.
Bjärtun will be responsible for acquisition, sales and marketing of film and TV content in all windows to the Nordic and international market.
Previously Bjärtun has been EVP digital services, tasked with improving the company’s digital services SF Anytime and SF Kids Play. She has also held a managing role in the acquisitions business within the company.
Bjärtun said she is “honoured and humbled” by her appointment, commenting, “Our ambition is set high and I am sure it is going to be an intense, challenging and inspiring journey ahead.”
Michael Porseryd, CEO of SF Studios, said: “In addition to her broad experience from different parts of our organization, Elsa has several capabilities that is important for us going forward, such as her ability to drive change and her very good understanding of our business and industry.”
Bjärtun will take on her new position immediately in parallel with her previous role and will report to Porseryd.
