Entertainment One (eOne) has appointed Dan Gopal as executive vice president, sales - EMEA.
In this newly created position he will head up EMEA film and television content sales efforts to broadcasters and OTT (over-the-top) platforms. He will lead the EMEA sales team in London and other European sales operations will also report into Gopal.
Gopal reports to Stuart Baxter, president, eOne Television International.
He previously worked at ITV Studios Global Entertainment, where he led the commercial team responsible for TV, Digital and Home Entertainment sales across EMEA.
He has also worked at Disney and Miramax.
Stuart Baxter said: “As the company continues to invest more in content and creative partnerships, we need a bigger and stronger distribution team to drive our commercial growth. Dan’s experience at ITV, Disney and Miramax as well as his relationships across Europe will be invaluable.”
Gopal added: “I look forward to helping grow the business and ultimately the linear and digital audience, for their incredible slate of first class films and television series.”
