Upcoming slate includes franchises The Hunger Games and Divergent, Gods of Egypt and Now You See Me 2.
Entertainment One (eOne) and Lionsgate have extended their feature film output agreements in Canada, Australia and Spain.
The agreements extend eOne distribution across all media through 2018 for Lionsgate and Summit label films in Canada and Spain and Summit films in Australia.
The collaboration has already been responsible for launching The Hunger Games, Twilight and Divergent: franchises in the three territories.
The upcoming pipeline covered under the agreements includes The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 & 2; the next three films in the Divergent series (Insurgent and Allegiant Parts 1 & 2); Alex Proyas’ Gods of Egypt, which just wrapped production in Australia; and Now You See Me 2, which starts production this fall.
Lionsgate recently relocated its international sales operation to London. The move is aimed to allow the studio to better servce its numerous output partnerships.
Lionsgate International recently expanded output agreements with Studiocanal and Tele Munchen Group in Germany, Roadshow Pictures in Australia, Nordisk Film in Scandinavia and Belga Films in Benelux as well as a new output arrangement with Leone Film Group in Italy.
The mini-major also recently announced a content partnership with The Alibaba Group in China.
