European Work In Progress Cologne (EWIP) has announced a new partnership with TorinoFilmLab ahead of the industry event’s 5th edition (October 17-19)
Five projects now in post-production that have been developed or supported by Torino’s FeatureLab, ScriptLab or the TFL Fund programme will be presented in official selection at EWIP which takes place in Cologne ahead of the 32nd Film Festival Cologne (October 20-27)
The projects will compete with 25 other selected European co-productions, to be announced at the end of the month, for various prizes worth a total of €52,500.
New for this year is the EWIP-TorinoFilmLab Audience Design Award which will see one project receive a bespoke marketing and distribution strategy guided by TorinoFilmLab.
The winners will be selected by a recently-announced expert jury which features Vanja Kaludjercic, festival director of the Rotterdam International Film Festival and Julien Rejl, new director of Cannes’ Directors’ Fortnight.
Films supported by TorinoFilmLab that have recently featured in high-profile festivals include Makbul Mubarak’s Autobiography; Laura Baumeister’s Daughter Of Rage; Marian Mathias’ Runner; Fabian Hernández’s A Male and Michael Koch’s A Piece Of Sky.
