The Event Cinema Association’s annual event will take place on October 19.
The Event Cinema Association (ECA) will host its annual conference at London’s Picturehouse Central on Oct 19, 2015.
The conference, which is funded in part by Creative Skillset, will host delegates from across the world, and will feature several panel discussions as well as breakout sessions, including a session on social media marketing with Adam Rubins and Daniel Heale of Way To Blue.
This year’s edition will also feature a trade show for consumer goods companies for the first time; exhibitors will include Cadbury’s, Mondelez, Nestlé and Scavi & Ray prosecco.
Last year’s conference featured 250 delegates from 20 territories worldwide, and the ECA are anticipating higher numbers this year given the increase in the organisation’s membership.
Melissa Cogavin, managing director of the ECA, said: “Every year we try to do something different with the ECA Conference and we are very excited to be working with Picturehouse Central on this year’s event at their stunning new venue.”
Creative Skillset’s film partnership manager Rebecca Davies added: “The event cinema market is expanding very quickly.
“The net result is a skills shortage in a growth area, and the ECA’s conference is the ideal platform to share expertise to ensure the highest standards of commercial presentation and reach.”
The Event Cinema Association was launched in September 2012 to “support and promote the developing Event Cinema market and provide the promotion and support to enable the industry to continue to thrive”.
