The Brooklyn-based film and TV distributor has partnered with private investment firm Harlan Capital Partners to boost its digital channels.
The Brooklyn-based film and TV distributor has raised $25m to focus on licensing web and mobile content and growing its platforms.
Key acquisitions to date include all-time Chinese box office hit Monster Hunt (pictured) and documentaries Janis: Little Girl Blue by Amy Berg and Gabriel Clarke and John McKenna’s Steve McQueen: The Man & Le Mans.
Josh Harlan, who founded New York-based Harlan Capital to focus on intellectual properties, joins FilmRise as a lead investor.
