Emmy-winning Fleabag and Killing Eve creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge has signed an overall deal with Amazon Studios to create and produce new television content exclusively for the streamer’s Prime Video service.
The deal marks a continuation of her relationship with the company, which distributed both series of Fleabag, produced by the UK’s Two Brothers Pictures for BBC Three.
Fleabag won four Primetime Emmys on Sunday (22), including outstanding comedy series and outstanding lead actress in a comedy series for its creator. The show earned six awards in total from this year’s three Emmys ceremonies.
Jodie Comer, star of Waller-Bridge’s BBC America series Killing Eve, picked up the lead actress in a drama prize.
Waller-Bridge’s upcoming projects include working on the script for Cary Fukunaga’s upcoming James Bond film No Time To Die, reportedly following a direct request from lead actor Daniel Craig.
The multi-hyphenate will collect BAFTA LA’s Britannia Award for British Artist of the Year on October 25 in Los Angeles. She was a Screen Star of Tomorrow in 2014, recognised as an actor, writer, and theatre producer.
