17th edition runs May 8-11.
FMX 2012, the 17th conference on animation, effects, games and transmedia, will highlight the impact of Virtual Production on film production.
The conference, held in Stuttgart, Germany, will feature presentations on films such as Real Steel, War Horse and Total Recall, as well as a presentation entitled World Building: From Avatar to Tintin focussing on the construction of a digital world space. Also taking place at this year’s edition will be a talk from John Dietz, Founder, Producer and VFX Supervisor at Vispop, about box office hit The Hunger Games and screenings of Dr. Seuss’ The Lorax and The Avengers.
