Nicolas Cage will star in horror title Wally’s Wonderland as Foresight Unlimited prepares to launch world sales at AFM next week.
Landafar Entertainment, JD Entertainment, Saturn Films, Almost Never Films, and Screen Media Ventures are producing the film, which is set to begin production in late January.
Cage will star as The Janitor, who is forced to spend the night in the twisted amusement park and must survive the night when animatronic characters come to life.
Kevin Lewis (The Drop) directs from a Blood List screenplay by G.O. Parsons. Grant Cramer, Jeremy Davis, and Danny Roth will produce along with Cage and Mike Nilon. Danny Chan, Foresight chairman Mark Damon, and Screen Media senior vice-president of worldwide acquisitions Seth Needle will serve as executive producers.
“For me there was always one actor and one actor only who could make this movie work,” said Lewis, “and that actor is Nick Cage. I’m thrilled to be working with him and can’t wait to see him go up against Wally and his gang of psychopathic misfits. I see this movie as Pale Rider vs Killer Klowns from Outer Space.”
Cage will next be seen in action film Primal, and the Southern gothic thriller Grand Isle, which Screen Media will distribute.
