David Kwok, who spent ten years at the Tribeca Film Festival, has resurfaced at VOD service Viewster.
Kwok, who was director of programming at Tribeca until November 2011, will oversee all editorial and programming for Viewster.
Viewster has also appointed Simon Zsebok as festival manager of its recently launched quarterly Online Film Fest. Both will be based in Berlin.
“The appointment of Simon shows that we’re really committed to the Online Film Fest initiative,” stated Kai Henniges, CEO of Viewster.
“We want to offer the international creative community a unique platform to expose their content to millions of our users. Ultimately we want our viewers to drive and curate our content.”
Viewster’s Online Film Fest has a $100,000 quarterly prize. Producer and Fandor CEO Ted Hope will be among jurors for the first edition.
