Fox Searchlight has promoted Katie Goodson-Thomas to senior vice-president of production, and Taylor Friedman to vice-president of production, effective immediately.
Goodson-Thomas (pictured at left) heads the London production team and works closely with president of Fox Searchlight International Rebecca Kearey. She joined the company in 2015 and is in post on Yorgos Lanthimos’ The Favourite and Dome Karukoski’s Tolkien. She has overseen eight films for the studio, among them Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, and Far From The Madding Crowd.
Friedman helped to oversee Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and is in post on David Lowery’s The Old Man & The Gun and Benh Zeitlin’s Wendy. She began as an assistant in production at Fox Searchlight in 2009.
Both executives will continue to report toFox Searchlight Pictures presidents of production Matthew Greenfield and David Greenbaum.
“Katie and Taylor each possess remarkable creative instincts and rigorous dedication to their projects, and to Searchlight as a whole,” Greenfield and Greenbaum announced on Wednesday (April 25).
“They have been essential members of the production team and we are proud that this elevation in their titles reflects their tremendous contributions.”
