George MacKay and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett are set to star in Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon’s revenge thriller Femme for Anglo-French producer and financier Anton which will shoot next month in London.
Femme is based on the co-directors’ Bafta-nominated short film, which premiered at the London Film Festival in 2021 and won best short film at Bifa 2021. It tells the story of a young man who, after suffering a homophobic attack, has the chance to exact revenge on one his attackers.
Anton is launching worldwide sales at Cannes.
The feature is being produced by Myles Payne and Sam Ritzenberg of Agile Films, whose feature credits include Beast, and by Hayley WIlliams, who produced Catch Me Daddy.
It is being co-financed by BBC Film and Anton with executive producers Eva Yates for BBC Film, Marnie Podos and Anton’s Sebastien Raybaud and Cecile Gaget
