David Fincher’s crime mystery generates nearly double the comments of the YA thriller on UK social networks.
Gone Girl, starring Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike, has dominated social buzz in the UK after a week on release, according to Way to Blue.
The crime mystery, directed by David Fincher, generated more than 12,000 comments from Oct 2-8 with more than a third expressing intent to view.
The Maze Runner, released this weekend, had to settle for second place with more than 5,200 comments, of which a healthy 40% looked set to buy tickets.
Not far behind was The Conjuring spin-off Annabelle, which scared up nearly 4,800 comments, and Dracula Untold, which staked more than 4,200 comments.
Of the films coming soon, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Robert Downey Jnr. starrer The Judge secured the most buzz with both notching up around 3,100 comments.
