Grandave International president Tamara Nagahiro has announced in TIFF a raft of territory sales on thriller Righteous Thieves following the North American deal with Gravitas Ventures.
Deals have closed with Daro for Eastern Europe, Africa, and France, Eagle Pictures for Italy, Premiere TV for Benelux, and Bucket Studios for South Korea.
Anthony Nardolillo (7th & Union) directed the film from a screenplay by Michael Corcoran about the head of a secret organisation who assembles a crew to steal back artwork plundered during the Second World War from a modern-day billionaire Neo-Nazi oligarch.
Leading the cast are Lisa Vidal (Being Mary Jane), Cam Gigandet (Twilight), Jaina Lee Ortiz (Station 19), Carlos Miranda (Warrior) and Sasha Merci (De Lo Mio).
Jolene Rodriguez (Slender Man) produced, with Stanley Preschutti (The Card Counter) and Frank Mayor (Anton) acting as executive Producers.
“For a Latinx commercial feature, the audience is far beyond LatAm and North America,” said Nagahiro. “I am excited to represent a Latinx project with international potential, adding she was happy to strike a deal with Pierre-Andre Rochat on the occasion of Daro’s 40th anniversary.
Gravitas plans an early 2023 release of Righteous Thieves.
Grandave International’s TIFF market line-up includes The Channel, The Final Vow, Clay and Kent State.
