EXCLUSIVE: Lane promoted to head of sales for specialty arm HanWay Select, Fabien Westerhoff departs.
Mark Lane has been promoted to head of sales at HanWay’s speciality arm HanWay Select.
Former HanWay Select exec Fabien Westerhoff will leave the company at the end of the year.
Westerhoff spearheaded the creation of specialty arm Select alongside former sales manager Lane and business and content manager Kate Hide.
The popular slate has grown to include upcoming Sundance premiere 20,000 Days on Earth - the doc charting a day in the life of Nick Cave, Errol Morris’ The Unknown Known and Oscar-shortlisted Dirty Wars as well as HanWay’s catalogue of classics.
Lane will report to HanWay’s managing director Thorsten Schumacher who said: “We thank Fabien for spearheading the creation of HanWay Select, alongside Mark Lane and Kate Hide, and establishing its presence in the marketplace.
“Mark has been instrumental in this growth and we are thrilled to see him further develop this dynamic extension of the HanWay brand”.
Lane, who began working at HanWay in 2008, commented: “I’m incredibly proud to have worked at HanWay since the creation of this speciality department and it is with great pleasure that I take the reins.
“I look forward to supporting Thorsten and his team, and continuing to work closely with our filmmakers new and old”.
Lane previously worked briefly in acquisitions at Momentum.
