Harkness Screens appoints Matt Jahans as new European Technical Services Manager

Projection screen manufacturer Harkness Screens has announced the appointment of a new European technical services manager, Matt Jahans.

Jahans will work with the Harkness sales and r&d teams and with other digital cinema technology companies to help digital cinema operators develop and optimise their screening facilities. Jahans comes to Harkness after 14 years with projector light source company TLS UK, most recently as the company’s digital cinema technical manager.

Harkness managing director, Andrew Robinson, commented: “Matt comes to Harkness Screens with a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience of the cinema industry and is a welcomed addition to our team. Matt’s experience, particularly in Xenon arc lamps, 34mm and digital cinema lamp houses, LPSU, igniters, DCI light measurements and software configuration provide us with a unique skillset which adds to our extensive technical knowledge base.”

He continued: “In his new position, Matt will enable us to work even more closely with our existing customers to assist them in making more informed business decisions about future digital cinema investments while obtaining maximum return on their existing technology.
