IFT has come on board to handle international sales on the drama And Then I Go from the producers of It Follows starring Justin Long and Melanie Lynskey.
Tony Hale, Carrie Preston, Melonie Diaz and newcomers Arman Darbo and Sawyer Barth also star in Vincent Grashaw’s high school-set tale from Brett Haley’s screenplay based on Jim Shepard’s novel Project X.
And Then I Go premiered at the LA Film Festival and centres on two best friends who are bullied by the other students and hatch a plan to get revenge.
Laura D. Smith and Rebecca Green, who worked together on It Follows and I’ll See You In My Dreams, served as producers and control US rights.
“And Then I Go is an incredibly powerful and beautiful film that is well-crafted and loaded with brilliant performances, and about a topic that couldn’t be more important right now,” IFT’s head of international Todd Olsson said.
“We’re excited to be partnering with IFT to help bring this film to a global audience and generate a critical dialogue about youth depression, bullying and violence in the context of this beautiful and heartbreaking story,” Smith and Green said.
