Oisin O’Neill has been named senior legal and business executive at the Irish Film Board (Bord Scannan na hEireann).
O’Neill will join the business affairs team on July 7 and will be introduced to the industry at next month’s Galway Film Festival.
In his new position, O’Neill will be responsible for the IFB’s contracting requirements on all projects and expenditure initiatives. He will also serve as a key contact between companies interested in contracting with the IFB.
O’Neill previously worked at the Irish Bar as a barrister, followed by a stint at Ryanair as their in-house media and intellectual property lawyer. He said he looks forward to applying his previous experience to his work with the IFB.
“As someone who is passionate about film and television, I am thrilled to be joining the Irish Film Board at this exciting time for the Irish audio-visual industry,” O’Neill said.
The IFB is Ireland’s national development agency for the Irish film, television and animation industries.
