Montreal-based Remstar Films is to distribute the Steve Jobs biopic in Canada; Entertainment One will handle rights in all media for the film outside Quebec.
Remstar Films has acquired Canadian rights for jOBS, the forthcoming biopic of Apple founder Steve Jobs, starring Ashton Kutcher.
Entertainment One will handle rights in all media for the film in Canada in collaboration with Remstar, with the excelption of theatrical, VOD and French-language television rights in Quebec.
Directed by Joshua Michael Stern and currently in post-production, the film will be released next year and will premiere on the closing night of the 2013 Sundance Film Festival in January.
The crew includes Oscar-winning cinematographer Russell Carpenter (Titanic), editor Robert Komatsu (Frost/Nixon) and composer John Debney (Iron Man 2).
