DreamWorks action-thriller centres on an attack on the US President’s motorcade.

Joe Carnahan is to write and direct action-thriller Motorcade.

The feature has been long in the works at DreamWorks and centres on an attack on the President’s motorcade as it goes through Los Angeles.

Executive producers are Walter Parkes and Laurie MacDonald. The latest script was written by Billy Ray (Captain Phillips, The Hunger Games).

Carnahan most recently directed Stretch and previously made The A-Team (2010) and The Grey (2011).

Carnahan is repped by CAA.
