Jonathan Rhys Meyers, Melissa Leo and Antonio Banderas have joined Yale’s action crime thriller Clean Up Crew which recently wrapped production in Ireland.
The company’s sales arm Great Escape led by Nick Donnermeyer will handle international rights and introduce the title in Toronto next month.
The film follows a crime scene clean-up crew who discover a briefcase full of cash and unwittingly get into battle with mobsters, hitmen and corrupt government agents who will stop at nothing to retrieve it. Leo and Rhys Meyers play members of the clean-up crew while Banderas portrays a ruthless crime boss.
Jon Keeyes, who directed Rhys Meyers in Yale’s The Survivalist, directed from a screenplay by Matthew Rogers. Yale’s Jordan Yale Levine, Jordan Beckerman and Michael Rothstein will produce alongside Richard Bolger and Conor Barry from Hail Mary Pictures, and Richard Clabaugh, Stephen Braun and Kurt Ebner.

Rhys Meyers’ credits include Stonewall, Albert Nobbs, From Paris with Love, Mission: Impossible III, Match Point. TV work includes Vikings, The Tudors and Elvis.
Leo is best known for her Oscar-winning performance in performance in The Fighter as well as Frozen River. She will next be seen in Nnamdi Asomugha’s The Knife.
Banderas’s credits include Pain And Glory, for which he won the Cannes best actor award and an Oscar nod, as well as Official Competition, The Skin I Live in and the Puss In boots films. Coming up are in Boots: The Last Wish and next year Banderas stars in the fifth instalment of the Indiana Jones film.

Yale recently announced The Last Girl with Alice Eve, Shelley Henig and Banderas. The Kill Room, starring Uma Thurman, Samuel L. Jackson, Joe Manganiello, and Maya Hawke, recently wrapped production in New Jersey. David Duchovny is set to write, direct, and star in the upcoming production Bucky F*cking Dent.
