Jude Law’s Riff Raff Entertainment has struck a first-look film and television deal with New Republic Pictures.
Law (Fantastic Beasts, The Nest) and Ben Jackson’s Riff Raff recently wrapped production on psychodrama True Things based on Deborah Kay Davies’ novel True Things About Me.
The company’s credits include Sleuth directed by Kenneth Branagh, and sci-fi adventure film Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow.
The first-look pact marks the fourth such deal by New Republic founder Brian Oliver and president Bradley Fischer after similar arrangements with Cate Blanchett’s Dirty Films, Jake Gyllenhaal’s Nine Stories, and Francis Lawrence’s about:blank.
New Republic has wrapped principal photography on Michael Bay’s LA-set action thriller Ambulance starring Gyllenhaal, Yahya Abdul-Matteen II and Eiza González, and is working on a Paramount co-finance slate deal that includes Top Gun: Maverick, Mission: Impossible 7, and Coming 2 America, which debuted recently on Amazon Prime.
